Threshing Day by Rebecca Yarros

The Empyrean · Book 3.5 · Limited Deluxe Edition

Thirteen unforgettable stories. One legendary day. One rule: don't die.

Welcome to Threshing Day at Basgiath War College, where would-be riders must earn the bond of a dragon or die trying. Amid dragon fire and ruthless competition, survival depends on more than courage. Rivals will seize any advantage, and the dragons alone decide who is worthy.

These thirteen stories turn the spotlight on familiar faces: Xaden, Rhiannon, Dain, Liam, Ridoc, Sawyer, Garrick, Imogen, Bodhi, Mira, Brennan, Aaric and Sloane. Leaders, protectors, fighters and underdogs face a trial where a single choice can forge a rider - or destroy them.

Return to the world of The Empyrean, where power demands a price and death is never far away. With desperate ambition on the ground and dragons holding the final judgment, Threshing Day brings together the danger, rivalry and impossible stakes at the heart of Basgiath.

Featuring 16 original FULL-COLOUR ILLUSTRATIONS by Joe Requeza, this limited deluxe first edition brings the world of The Empyrean to life in vivid colour, finished with silver-gilded edges. The later standard edition will feature black-and-white artwork instead and will be published under a different ISBN.

“Yarros is the true inheritor of Harry Potter and inspires Hunger Games levels of devotion” - Guardian
