Eldritch by Keri Lake

The Eating Woods · Book 2 of 3

The woods are still hungry. And something in the dark is hunting him.

An eldritch magic has awakened, leaving the mortal world darker, colder and famished.

Flesh-eating monsters roam Foxglove Parish, a sinister curse spreads like plague, and the last traces of humanity are fading.

For Maevyth and Zevander, the only way out is through the Eating Woods. But fate has woven a new trap, and returning to Aethyria may no longer be possible.

Deprived of the vivicantem he needs, Zevander is slowly surrendering to madness while an ancient evil hunts him. As the buried truth of Maevyth's past rises to the surface, she may not have the power to bring him back.

"An ancient evil has awakened. And this time, she may not have the power to save him."

"The woods always take what they are owed."
